JOB PURPOSE:

Responds to emergency calls, transports patients, provides patient care to Emergency Room on a 24/7 basis, either day or night shift.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Delivers high-quality patient care both pre-hospital and in-hospital based on a competent understanding of patient needs and established protocols under the supervision of the Operations Supervisor and medical oversight.
• Operates and maintains EMS vehicles and equipment properly to ensure they are in a constant state of readiness. Performs vehicle checks at the start of each shift, completes necessary checklists and logbooks, and reports any damage or malfunctions immediately,
• Completes administrative and clinical functions as assigned by the Operations Supervisor/Manager. Accurately reports all accidents, incidents, breakdowns, defects and completes relevant documentation.
• Works harmoniously with EMS team members and other healthcare professionals. Assists in the orientation and professional development of other EMS personnel, promotes a positive attitude and encourages a cohesive teamwork approach.
