JOB PURPOSE:
We are seeking a General Practitioner to support our Surgical Department on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate preferably will be MD in Surgery with strong post-residency experience, particularly in busy surgical settings. This role is well-suited for a General practitioner with recent 3–5 years surgical experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Assist the surgical team in patient management, both pre- and post-operatively.
- Assists Surgeon in OT procedures
- Support in conducting assessments, minor procedures, and patient monitoring.
- Collaborate with consultants and nursing staff to ensure safe surgical care.
- Manage patient documentation and contribute to department workflows.
- Provide timely clinical decisions in line with hospital standards.
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- MD with specialization in Surgery.
- Recent 3–5 years of post-residency experience in a busy Surgical setting is essential
- Valid DHA license/eligibility is mandatory.
- Strong clinical knowledge in surgical practices with the ability to adapt quickly in a temporary role.
- Competency in managing pre- and post-operative care and assisting in surgical settings.
- Strong clinical judgment, patient-focused approach, and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Adaptability to a short-term role within a fast-paced surgical environment.
- Role involves working in shifts (day/night) to provide 24 hours coverage
